2 drivers killed in crashes on Arkansas roads

Two people died in separate vehicle crashes on Arkansas roadways this weekend, according to Arkansas State Police preliminary reports.

On Saturday, a man died after driving across the centerline into oncoming traffic and colliding with another vehicle at 6:45 a.m.

Daniel Hendricks, 22 of Malvern, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt westbound on U.S. 70 in Garland County when he crossed into the eastbound lane and struck a 2014 Toyota Rav4 driven by Natalie Thomas, 23, according to state police.

Hendricks died from his injuries. Thomas and two passengers in her vehicle were taken to CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs or Arkansas Children's Hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries.

Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.

On Sunday, a woman died in Texarkana when another vehicle struck hers at 10:42 a.m.

Deborah Tilley, 25, was driving eastbound on U.S. 82 in a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier. She slowed down to turn into a driveway, when a 2008 GMC Yukon ran into the rear of her vehicle.

Tilley died from the crash. The name of the driver of the other vehicle wasn't released by state police.

That driver wasn't injured. The roadway was dry at the time of the crash.
