Construction on Interstate 40 in Conway will require overnight lane closures and traffic stoppages in the work zone itself for three nights beginning Monday, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
The placement of steel girders for the Sixth Street overpass between Oak Street and Dave Ward Drive will require the two inside eastbound lanes to be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily through Thursday, weather permitting.
One westbound inside lane also will be closed during the same time. Further, temporary traffic stoppages in the outside eastbound lane for 15-minute intervals will occur between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night, the department said.
