Where I live: Lakewood in North Little Rock with my wife, Kelle, our daughter, Ashley, and dog, Princess.

Occupation: By day, I'm an operations analyst at a software company, but I moonlight as a beer writer for Southwest Brewing News, a beer blogger at arkbeerscene.com and co-host of Tap Time on KABZ-FM, 103.7.

My favorite space is: My downstairs bar, also know as The Beer Cave.

Why? With all the time I spend writing and talking about beer, I like to gather friends to sample and discuss new or already favorite beers with me while sitting around the bar. Of course, this also usually leads to plenty of nonbeer-related discussions ranging from sports to politics and everything in between. Since we moved into this house a little over four years ago, it's gone from sort of a basement afterthought to a room where a lot of good memories have been made while wonderful beers and laughs were shared. It's like having my own neighborhood pub where I screen the patrons and control the beer list. Plus, where else in the house would I be allowed to hang my collection of brewery signs, or music and sports memorabilia?

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Add a lot of woodwork, tap handles and a pool table to give it much more of an old pub feel. We're renovating a room at a time, and unfortunately [The Beer Cave] is last on the list.
