Sara Swearingen, clinical pharmacist at Washington Regional Medical Center, recently achieved the designation of Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. Swearingen, who joined Washington Regional this year, attended the University of Central Arkansas and earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She completed a residency in pharmacy practice at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Swearingen was a staff pharmacist at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.

• Dewitt Smith III, Bella Vista, was named to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Foundation Fund Board. Smith is the president and CEO of Devereux Management Co. He serves on the Washington Regional Medical Foundation board of directors and the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business Garrison Financial Institute Advisory Board, and is a commissioner for the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission.

• Mary Beth Brooks, Fayetteville, was named to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Foundation Fund Board. Brooks is the retired CEO of The Bank of Fayetteville. She serves as a member of the Northwest Arkansas Council and the Fayetteville Public Schools Foundation Board, and is an advisory board member for the Yvonne Richardson Community Center.

• Melanie Gage was promoted to senior vice president for Arvest Bank. She is the treasury management manager for Arvest Bank in Fayetteville. Gage attended Missouri State University and is a candidate for Certified Treasury Professional designation. She is a member of the Association for Financial Professionals.

• Dr. Claire Servy has joined Community Clinic Springdale Medical Family Practice. She attended New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y., and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Servy is a family practice provider.

• Colby Hines, APRN, joined the Community Clinic staff and will work at the Jones Elementary schoolbased health center in Springdale. Hines graduated with a master of science in nursing, specializing in family practice, from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

• Peter Granderson, APRN, joined Community Clinic and will work at Panther Health & Wellness Clinic, a schoolbased health center in Siloam Springs. Granderson graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colo., and is a family medicine provider.
