Pavement work is set to begin on the realigned Grimsley Road west of Willis Shaw Elementary School in Springdale beginning Thursday, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
Paving from Bridgegate Avenue to about 1,000 feet north of Willis Shaw Elementary will last from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily through Nov. 23, weather permitting.
The work isn't expected to affect school activities, the department said. Traffic will be controlled using warning signs and flaggers.
The work is part of a $100.6 million project to construct 4 miles of the new four-lane U.S. 412 bypass.
