Bambu Veneerware plates

Bambu Veneerware plates

What's to love: Pretty, single-use plates made of 100 percent bamboo.

What does it do: Don't want to do a big cleanup after guests, but don't want to use paper plates either? These plates are made from organically grown bamboo, which is a renewable resource. They are chemical and pesticide free and no bleaches or dyes were used in the manufacturing process. They also make bamboo eating utensils, which can be bought in sets of forks, knives and spoons. Veneerware can be composted after use. The plates come in a variety of sizes in packages of eight ($8) or 100 (prices start at $75.) More information at bambuhome.com.
