The bride is the daughter of Nancy and Charles Puddephatt Jr. of Little Rock. She is the granddaughter of the late Myrtle and Fred Allenbaugh of Memphis and the late Joan and Charles William Puddephatt of Pine Bluff.

Parents of the bridegroom are Debbie and George Andrew Makris Jr. of Pine Bluff. He is the grandson of Carolyn Kirkpatrick and the late Don O'Neal Kirkpatrick of Little Rock and the late Miriam and George Andrew Makris of Pine Bluff.

The altar held two large cream and white arrangements of hydrangeas, garden roses, larkspur and magnolia leaves. Pew end candlesticks decorated with magnolia leaves lined the center aisle. Music was by organist Faron Wilson, violinist Christie Bonds and trumpeter Stephen James.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a ballgown of silk chiffon and silk douppioni. The gathered bodice had a sweetheart neckline and a draped waist with a bow at the back. She carried a cascade of white and pale pink roses, hydrangeas and anemones.

Matron of honor was Sarah Phillips Knight of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Valorie Coulter of Houston; Jessica Davis of Homewood, Ala.; Lacey Durmon and Allison Ellison, both of Fayetteville; Miriam Gary and Ashley Jamison, both of Little Rock; and Haleigh Geels of Springdale. They wore midnight blue strapless dresses and carried clutch bouquets of white hydrangeas, eucalyptus and pink garden roses.

The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Christopher Bonds of Chicago; Easwaran Cumarasamy of New York; Brendan Hamill of Washington; John Makris and Nicholas Makris, both of Pine Bluff and brothers of the bridegroom; and Charles Puddephatt III of Little Rock, brother of the bride. Bell ringer was Nicholas Kirkpatrick Makris Jr. of Pine Bluff, nephew of the bridegroom.

A reception after the ceremony was held at the Country Club of Little Rock. Tables were draped in white damask-silk table cloths and centered with tall trumpet vases with roses, stock, cymbidium and dendrobium orchids in shades of lavender, blush and deep pink. Alternating tables held tall crystal candlesticks with orchids and roses. Music was by The Party Jammers from Memphis.

The bride graduated first-ranked senior scholar with a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was on the chancellor's and dean's lists and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and served as vice president of standards. She is employed in corporate marketing at Simmons Bank.

The bridegroom has a bachelor's degree in political science from Columbia University in New York, a juris doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School and a master of laws from Georgetown University Law Center. He is vice president and senior counsel for Simmons First National Corp.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to St. Lucia.
