Robber in drugstore demands only pills

A masked robber handed a pharmacist a note that only said "methadone" during a robbery Saturday at a Little Rock drugstore, police say.

The robber walked into Tanglewood Drug Store at 6815 Cantrell Road around 9:35 a.m. and demanded the prescription drug, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

"I want this," the robber said while handing the note to a pharmacist, who then passed it on to another employee, according to the report.

"This is not a prescription," one pharmacist said before the robber again demanded methadone pills, according to the report.

Police said an employee filled a bottle with the prescription medication and handed it to the robber, who fled the store heading west.

The robber was described as standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds, according to authorities. He was wearing a black ski mask, a gray hoodie, bluejeans and brown boots.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Cash, medication stolen, victim says

An Arkansas man was robbed Friday of his prescription medicine and some cash while washing his car in Little Rock, police said.

The 40-year-old Jacksonville resident told police that he was rinsing off his 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe at a carwash at 400 E. 26th St. at 8:57 p.m. when two men approached him.

One of them brandished a handgun and grabbed about $160 in cash from the victim's front pocket, he told police.

They also took a bag containing his prescription medication, including bottles of hydrocodone and oxycodone, from the front seat of his car, he told police.

The robbers, described in the police report as two black men around 5 feet, 8 inches tall, fled the scene, and police said they searched the area but did not find them.

Man with revolver robs grocery store

A man robbed a Little Rock grocery store at gunpoint Sunday afternoon, police said.

An employee at Asian Mart, located at 3002 S. University Ave., told police that the robber entered the store and pointed a silver revolver at her a little after 3:20 p.m.

She handed over an unknown amount of money from the cash register. The robber then left the store, heading south on foot. Police looked for him in the area but did not find him.

The employee described the robber as a black man who stands 5 feet, 5 inches tall. He was wearing a black ski mask, a black hoodie with a white undershirt, and black "workout pants" with white stripes running down each leg.

2 men in LR hold up pizza deliveryman

A pizza deliveryman was robbed of pizzas and breadsticks while working in Little Rock on Sunday night, police said.

The 28-year-old man from Alexander told officers that he was delivering food to a home in the 2000 block of West 26th Street at 11:26 p.m. when two men wearing dark gray hoodies, dark pants and ski masks approached him, according to a Little Rock police report.

One of the men pulled out a small semi-automatic pistol and said: "You know what this is. We do not want to shoot you. Just give us whatever you have and your vehicle," the victim told police.

He handed over the pizzas, breadsticks and the cash he had on him but did not give the men his car keys, and they left, he told police.

Masked man leaves hotel empty-handed

A man tried to rob a Little Rock hotel Friday night by passing a note to an employee, police said.

A police report said officers responded to a robbery in progress at the Quality Inn, at 6100 Mitchell Drive, at 10:08 p.m. When police arrived, they searched the building without finding the man.

A witness told officers that a black man entered through the hotel's front door and walked up to the counter. He gave the witness a plastic bag and a note, police said.

"The money in the bag," it reportedly read. "I am armed. No bulls**t."

According to the report, nothing was taken, and a surveillance camera recorded the man running out of the building, heading west. He left the note and the bag at the hotel.

The would-be robber was wearing an orange hoodie, black pants and a black mask, the report said. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds, police said.
