3 die in 2 crashes on Arkansas roads

A 22-year-old man died in a one-vehicle crash in Randolph County on Thursday night, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police.

Keeven Pankey of Reyno was pronounced dead at the scene after crashing a 2009 Chevrolet at 9:26 p.m. on Arkansas 328, police said. The Chevrolet ran off the road, hit a ditch and overturned, ejecting Pankey from the vehicle, according to the report.

On Friday, police reported a separate crash that killed two Highland residents after their vehicle hit a tree in Sharp County earlier in the week.

A 2006 Kia Optima was traveling north on U.S. 63 on Monday when it left the road while on a curve and hit a tree at 6:12 p.m., police said.

Zachary Michael Alliss, 24, and Rayn Malia Alliss, 22, were both in the Kia and died from the crash, according to the report.

The weather was clear and the roads were dry at the time of both crashes, police said.
