Beebe police shoot 1 in home search

Arkansas State Police are investigating after Beebe police shot a person while executing a search warrant Friday afternoon, a spokesman said.

Beebe police went to 2100 Kamak Drive to conduct a search about 4:05 p.m., said Bill Sadler, spokesman for the Arkansas State Police.

When officers entered the house, they found a person pointing a firearm at them, Sadler said.

Beebe police shot the person, who was then taken to the White County Medical Center in Searcy, Sadler said.

The medical condition of the shooting victim was unknown Friday night.

Further details on the shooting were not available Friday. Beebe police declined to comment.
