WASHINGTON COUNTY

Sequoyah United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, 1910 N. Old Wire Road, opens its 11th annual pumpkin patch fundraiser Sept. 26 to Oct. 31. The sale of the pumpkins benefit the Navajo Indian reservation in Farmington, N.M., where the pumpkins were grown, and the youth programs of the church.

The patch will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

First United Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, 695 E. Calvin St., presents the fall discussion of the Abrahamic Faiths Forum at 7 p.m. Thursday. Children’s stuffed animals also may be presented for blessing during the 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services Sunday. Donations of pet food for local shelters are welcome.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., offers a special service at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday for those unable to attend a regularly scheduled service. Lunch is served following the service, and transportation is available.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry currently collects items for Thanksgiving bags. The pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday.

The ensemble includes Theresa Delaplain on oboe and Lia Uribe on bassoon; both are faculty members for University of Arkansas music department. The will be joined by Andrew Campbell on piano, from the music faculty of Arizona State University in Tempe. The music will include works by Astor Piazzolla, Francis Poulenc, Theophile Lalliet, Andre Previn and UA faculty member Robert Mueller.

New Life Christian Church in Bella Vista, 103 Riordan Road, plans a farewell reception for former pastor Lee McClanathan and wife Loralee from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 9 in the church atrium. The McClanathans are moving to Rockford, Ill.
