LampChamp
What does it do: It replaces a charger that needs to be plugged into a wall.
What's to love: To use this charger, simply remove the light bulb from a lamp, screw in the LampChamp, and then replace bulb into the top portion of the LampChamp. The light is still usable, and by plugging a device's USB charging cord into the port on the LampChamp, devices such as cellphones, tablets and e-readers may be charged. An on/off switch on the charger controls the light. LampChamp sells for $29.99.
Triby
What does it do: It is a voice-controlled smart speaker using Alexa Voice Service, Amazon's cloud-based service that powers Alexa-enabled products.
What's to love: Triby may be used to make hands-free telephone calls when paired with smartphones or the internet. Using a downloaded app on a phone, the user can pre-set favorite music channels, manage speaker settings and send doodles or handwritten messages, such as grocery list reminders, that show on the speaker display window. It's portable, or a magnetic back allows it to be attached to the refrigerator. It comes in white, blue, green or red and sells for $199.
