Schucker completed 17 of 28 passes for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Washington rushed 32 times for 152 yards.

The duo combined for all but 52 of Searcy's 395 total yards.

"Those two do a good job of taking what the defense gives them," Searcy Coach Mark Kelley said of Schucker and Washington. "When they do get stopped, they don't worry about it. They just go toward the next play."

When the Blue Devils (3-2, 1-1 in the 6A-East Conference) keyed on Washington late in the fourth quarter, Kelley called on sophomore Tony Young for a 20-yard touchdown on a reverse to break a 20-20 tie with 5:44 left in the game.

Approaching midfield with just under four minutes to play, West Memphis quarterback Amaurius Stinnett, who completed 7 of 11 passes for 165 yards, fumbled. Searcy (4-1, 2-0) recovered and ran the clock out.

West Memphis held a 14-13 lead at halftime on the strength of Stinnett's touchdown passes to Jonathan Craig and Steven Stone.

Stinnett threw his third TD pass of the night on the first possession of the second half when he hit Stone again, this time from 26 yards out to make it 20-13 Blue Devils.

But Washington answered quickly with a 23-yard touchdown run.

Searcy's go-ahead touchdown came on a 12-play, 76-yard drive that ate up more than six minutes.

The Lions scored three times off four West Memphis fumbles on the night.
