Separate crashes in state leave 3 dead

Separate crashes on Arkansas roads Friday and Saturday killed two people, according to preliminary reports from the Arkansas State Police. Also a man injured in a crash Sept. 30 has succumbed to his injuries.

A crash in White County killed a 27-year-old woman Saturday, according to a report.

Amanda Ann Herrera of Batesville died after the 1995 Ford she was driving went off U.S. 67 and hit a concrete pillar at 10:09 a.m., police said.

On Friday, a 66-year-old man died after his vehicle overturned in Crittenden County, according to a report.

Thomas Wilkins of Parkin was driving west on Arkansas 42 when his 2006 Volvo went off the road and overturned at 11:53 a.m., police said.

Police also reported that a Marmaduke man, whose Freightliner truck was hit by a train in Greene County last month, has died, according to a report.

Darryl Coleman, 65, was crossing a Union Pacific railroad track on Greene County Road 434 just before 5 p.m. on Sept. 30 when the train hit his 2014 truck, police said.

Coleman was ejected from the vehicle, police said. He was taken to a hospital in Memphis, according to the report.

The weather was clear and the pavement was dry at the time of all of the crashes, police said.
