THE SKINNY: We at Slim Pickings have a high tolerance for fake things like artificial colors, flavors and sugars.
But cheese has to be real; no light, reduced-fat or fat-free versions allowed. And small wedges of real cheese can be really satisfying.
So we were cheesin' big when we saw that Jarlsberg (which sent us a tiny sample in a giant cooler) now offers its delicious cheese in individually wrapped portions. Each stick contains about 3/4 ounce of buttery, nutty and holey Jarlsberg, which hails from Norway and is similar in taste to Swiss.
But forget what we said about small wedges of real cheese being really satisfying. We wanted another and another.
