Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon and defensive end Ricky Jean Francois flew to Haiti on Monday to deliver medical supplies to victims of Hurricane Matthew.

Garcon and Jean Francois, who are of Haitian descent, traveled on Redskins owner Dan Snyder's plane. The team said Snyder and his wife, Tanya, flew a plane full of supplies to the Bahamas on Saturday.

Redskins Coach Jay Gruden told reporters the players were "first class" to spend some of their time off to hand out supplies.

"A lot of guys want to stay home and play video games or what have you and spend time with their families. But to go to help others in need is big time," Gruden said Monday. "Talks about their character, and I'm proud to be their coach when you see guys do things like that."

Garcon posted a video of head athletic trainer Larry Hess explaining what was going to Haiti: gauze, Ace wraps, bandages and other supplies.

"Trying to help out," Hess said in the video. "Trying to give what we can give, and hopefully that helps out."

Hurricane Matthew killed more than 500 people in Haiti before striking the United States.

Wrong Bone

Ken Bone, a former college basketball head coach at Washington State who is now at Gonzaga as an assistant, has been a busy man since Sunday night.

On Sunday, Ken Bone of Belleville, Ill., spoke at the presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in St. Louis. He has become a popular figure on the Internet, appearing in memes and GIFs.

The Seattle Times interviewed Bone, the coach, on Monday. How did he start the conversation?

"This is the Ken Bone in Missoula [Montana]," he said.

The coach told the Seattle Times he received a number of text messages before Bone was finished speaking in St. Louis.

Bone gave the Times a sampling of messages:

"Some were like, 'I didn't realize you moved to St. Louis.' Or, 'I was wondering what you were doing now.' " Bone said. "But 90 percent of them were, 'Boy, I thought you were taller than that. You sure have put on a lot of weight. Is that a toupee? You look really cool with the mustache. Didn't know you had glasses now.' ... Some of those were just from the same guy. It went on and on and on.

"He's representing the name well," Bone said. "I'm proud of him."

Steaks for all

A Ruth's Chris Steak House in Ann Arbor, Mich., had a promotion offering customers a one-percent discount for each point Michigan defeated Rutgers by on Saturday.

But the restaurant did not plan on the Wolverines winning 78-0.

The discount, however, was not 78 percent. Ruth's Chris Steak House announced the discount would be capped at 50 percent.

"Not as good as 78 percent, granted, but even still: 50 percent off for the next five days?" wrote Luke Kerr-Dineen of USA Today. "Thanks, Jim Harbaugh."

Ruth's Chris Steak House in Ann Arbor will run the promotion until Thursday.

Honestly ...
