Bella Vista Church of the Nazarene, 760 W. Lancashire Blvd., sponsors its annual Fall Festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 22. The event includes games, face painting, Trunk or Treat, train rides, hay rides, as well as chili and soup. Costumes are welcome.

Bella Vista Assembly of God, 1771 Forest Hills Blvd., sponsors its annual chili and potato soup dinner Oct. 28. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $3 for children ages 5-12. Tickets are available from the church office, any bank at the corner of Arkansas 279 and Arkansas 340 or at the door. Proceeds support mission programs throughout the year.

New Life Christian Church in Bella Vista, 103 Riordan Road, sponsors Sister2Sister game night at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The Men’s Ministry hosts the Gathering on Oct. 25 at Dink’s World Famous Pit BBQ in Bentonville. The Side by Side senior single ladies will travel to Eureka Springs to see fall foliage, carpooling from the church at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 26.

The church plans a Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31.

The United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista, 100 Cooper Road, presents Dave Anderson and Roger Walck in concert at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. An offering benefits the Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat ministry in Arizona.

The church hosts the “All Anew” 10th triennial gathering of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Church Women United presents “World Community Day” celebration beginning at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 4. The Rev. Dawn Donato, pastor of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bella Vista, will talk about Canopy, an organization working to place refugees in Northwest Arkansas. A variety of table settings, music and Scripture will address the theme, “Sharing the Gifts of the Table.” A silent auction is planned, with proceeds going to local charities.

Karen Taymore, a certified clinical nurse specialist in adult psychiatric mental health, speaks at 11 a.m. Sunday. She will speak on “Tips for Maintaining Respectful Communication When Discussing Political Viewpoints.”

The UUBC Ladies Night book club meets at 5 p.m. Oct. 22.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., sponsors the men of the church for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. today at Papa Mike’s in Bella Vista. The group will then travel to see a model train collection.

The church serves a potluck meal after the morning service Sunday.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., offers a free Senior Safety Academy starting with breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The event is sponsored by the Benton County Senior and Law Enforcement Together program. Information will be presented from the Arkansas attorney general’s office, the Rogers and Bella Vista police departments, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and Bella Vista senior service providers. Various emergency vehicles will be on display in the back parking lot of the church.

The church sponsors a dinner and movie night at 5:30 p.m Wednesday, with an emphasis on children ages 3 to sixth-graders. A “kid friendly” meal will be served.

The church sponsors Trunk or Treat from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry serves from 10 a.m.to 1 p.m. each Friday. Donations are requested for Thanksgiving baskets, with monetary donations to help pay for turkeys and roasting chickens.

First Presbyterian Church in Rogers, 1901 S. 26th St., hosts the Leslie Shupe Art School each Saturday, through Nov. 5. Classes for adults and children age 7 and older, include acrylics, taught by Joe Lay; watercolor, taught by Anita Carroll; oil by Debi Ortega; and drawing and pastels by Cindy Shepherd. Cost is $20, plus supplies.

New Wine Ministries, 2262 Forest Hills Blvd. Bella Vista, celebrates the Feast of the Tabernacles from Sunday to Oct. 24. Morning gatherings at 9:30 a.m. Monday to Friday meet at the ARK, 8030 LaCroix Road, Decatur. Mario Murillo and Jason Fowler lead the worship Oct. 23-24 at the Word of Life Church, 808 S.W. 14th St. in Bentonville. Murillo has traveled the world offering his ministry, and Fowler leads an end-time ministry.

The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., sponsors the Men’s Fellowship as they meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. today. Cost is $5, plus a canned food donation for the Helping Hands food pantry.

A new Dinner Church is planned for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the fellowship hall. A brief informal worship service will precede the meal and fellowship. An offering will be taken to cover the cost of the meal.

The Presbyterian Women hold the fall potluck luncheon at noon Friday.

The church collects sweaters and light-weight jackets for the Salvation Arm to give to needy recipients at Christmas.
