Lisenne Rockefeller is guest of honor at benefit for Arkansas Autism Resource & Outreach Center

Lisenne Rockefeller was honored Oct. 6 for her contributions to improving the lives of people in Arkansas diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities at a benefit for Arkansas Autism Resource & Outreach Center (AAROC). The event, All Out for Autism, was at Next Level Events.

Rockefeller, along with her late husband Lt. Gov. Win Rockefeller, founded The Academy at Riverdale, a school for children with developmental disabilities and multiple learning differences. She serves on a variety of boards, including Easter Seals Arkansas, and is on the University of Arkansas College of Education and Health Professions Dean's Advisory Council.

The evening began with a reception and silent auction followed by a seated dinner. A program included remarks by board chairman Eric Moxley, Rockefeller's son Will and Dianna Varady, director of the Arkansas Autism Resource & Outreach Center.

A trip for two to New York including a Broadway entertainment package was the highlight of a live auction, which also included a glass chandelier by James Hayes and a football signed by Archie Manning and sons Eli and Peyton.

The event raised $80,000 for AAROC.

Palmer and Sharon Hussman were the presenting sponsors.
