Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs was the setting at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, for the marriage of Kaitlin Marie Smith and Alexander Ryan Long. The Rev. Dan Hauser of Christ Lutheran Church officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Kathleen and the late Dr. Thomas Smith of Little Rock. Her grandparents are Delores and Patrick Doyle of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and the late Genevieve and Charles Smith of Little Rock.

Angela and John Long of Ada, Okla., are parents of the bridegroom. He is the grandson of the late Billie and Monty Long of Marlow, Okla., and the late Sally and Linden Pherigo of Ada.

On each side of the altar were two large urn arrangements with lavender gladioli, purple roses, green hydrangeas and blush pink roses. Music was by violinist Mary Mickler and pianist Lane Long.

The bride walked down the aisle with her grandfather, Patrick Doyle. She wore a blush pink A-line gown with an embroidered lace bodice and tulle skirt. She carried a bouquet of green hydrangeas, lavender and pink roses, pink wax flowers and plum freesia.

Matron of honor was Jackie Wisniewski of Conway. Bridesmaids were Kaley Achor of Sherwood, Shannon Fiser of Bryant and Lauren Smith of Stillwater, Okla.

They wore plum chiffon gowns with sweetheart necklines and carried bouquets similar to the bride's.

Blake Long of Ada was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Patrick Smith of Stillwater and Daniel Smith of Little Rock, brothers of the bride, and Cory Javernick of Norman, Okla. Guests were seated by Kolton Howry of Norman and Kolby Howry of Ada.

A reception at the garden's Garvan Pavilion was held after the ceremony. Tables were decorated with ivory and gold lanterns surrounded by hydrangeas, stock, roses and ruscus.

The bride completed her pre-pharmacy requisites at the Honors College at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and is a fourth-year doctorate of pharmacy student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is an intern at Cornerstone Pharmacy.

The bridegroom has a bachelor's degree in finance from East Central University in Ada and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is a supervisor on a cost management team at Windstream Communications.

After a wedding trip to Kauai, Hawaii, the couple will make their home in Little Rock.
