Northwest Health gets joint group's seal

Northwest Health earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Total Joint Spine Disease Specific Certification. Northwest Medical Center Bentonville underwent an on-site review in September. Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with national disease-specific care standards as well as with spine disease-specific requirements.

New owner takes over NAPA Bentonville

NAPA Bentonville is under new local ownership. Dan and Cody Barham, Porky's Parts Inc., purchased the store on Aug. 1. Since the takeover, they have added over $400,000 in inventory. NAPA Bentonville is located behind Tractor Supply at 215 S.E. 28th St., No. 9.

Harps named Southwest Retailer of Year

Harps Food Stores Inc. was named the Southwest Retailer of the Year by the Shelby Report, a publication for the food and grocery industry.

Harps was founded in Springdale in 1930 by Harvard and Floy Harp. For many years the company grew under the leadership of sons Don and Gerald Harp. In 2001, the company completed a buyout and became 100 percent employee-owned. It has since grown to 85 store locations in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

Fayetteville banquet honors projects

The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and its Construction and Developers Committee held its annual construction and developers appreciation award banquet Monday. The chamber honored recently completed projects in Fayetteville and Washington and Benton counties.

Winners were:

• Legacy Award -- University of Arkansas Old Main east portico restoration.

• Vision Award -- University of Arkansas Fowler House garden and conservatory.

• Student Life Award -- Linda Childers Knapp Elementary School and Pre-K.

• Community Outreach Award -- Fellowship Fayetteville.

• Phoenix Award -- Maple Street and Lafayette Street historic bridges rehabilitation.

• Community Impact Award -- Kessler Mountain Regional Park.

• Adaptive Reuse Award -- Bio-Tech Pharmacal.

• Connectivity Award -- Rupple Road extension from Persimmon Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

• Skyline Award -- Hunt Tower.

• Transformation Award -- Pi Beta Phi, Arkansas Alpha chapter.

• Sustainability Award -- Black Apple Community.

Enterprise Vision project breaks ground

Enterprise Vision Technologies Inc. held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday for its new office and integration center at 1701 W. Commerce Drive in Rogers. The project is to be completed in May 2017.

Enterprise Vision Technologies Inc. is a value-added reseller and system integrator that offers IT infrastructure, integration, enterprise storage, private and hybrid cloud solutions, converged and hyper-converged architectures, open computing, virtualization, networking and security options.

Beaver Water District wins utility award

Beaver Water District received the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies' Platinum Award for Utility Excellence during the executive management conference held Monday in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The water district sets a goal of 100 percent compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act, maintains membership in the Partnership for Safe Water and ensures that capital planning focuses on maintaining high-quality water. The utility updated its asset management plan and used the information to establish funding requirements for its replacement and refurbishment fund.
