Smoke spotted in cabin, airliner lands safely in Little Rock

An American Airlines flight traveling Saturday from Nashville to Los Angeles made an emergency landing in Little Rock after smoke was reported on the plane.

Shane Carter, a spokesman for Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field, said American Airlines flight 1134 landed safely about 5:17 p.m. There were 130 people on board. No injuries were reported.

The plane, an Airbus A319, made the emergency landing after smoke was seen in the cabin, Carter said.

The airline was investigating the cause of the smoke.
