The infamous Salem Witch Trials come to life again as the Arkansas Repertory Theatre presents Arthur Miller's The Crucible, through Nov. 13. The final preview starts at 7 p.m. today with a director talk at 6:15 p.m. Opening night is 8 p.m. Friday and regular show times are 7 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday and Sunday, 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday with an additional matinee Nov. 12. Sweet or savory? Visitors can have both at the annual Arkansas Cornbread Festival, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in Little Rock's South Main district. The festival includes the cornbread competition, music, a vintage motorcycle show and the Kids' Own Zone with food-related activities. Tickets are $8 in advance, $4 for ages 6-12. A bear of very little brain, his human companion and his animal friends take audiences back to the Hundred Acre Wood as the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre stages Winnie-the-Pooh (music by Allan J. Friedman, lyrics by A.A. Milne and Kristin Sergel, with additional lyrics by Le Clanche du Rand, whose script is based on Milne's stories). San Francisco-based men's vocal ensemble Chanticleer will offer a program titled "My Secret Heart," music celebrating love including medieval madrigals, classical songs and works by Stephen Foster, Cole Porter, Noel Coward and a new work written for them by Finnish composer Jaakko Mantyjarvi, 8 p.m. Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church, 509 Scott St., Little Rock.
