Progressive heavy metal band Tool will perform, along with opening act 3TEETH, at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Verizon Arena. Tickets are $107, $85.50 and $59.50.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1990, the band released its debut album, Undertow, in 1993, and has since released three more albums: AEnima in 1996, Lateralus in 2001 and 10,000 Days in 2006.

Tool -- comprised of singer Maynard James Kennan, drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones and bassist Justin Chancellor -- is known for its unusual lighting and stage effects and for Keenan's performing style, which is mostly in the shadows.

Whiskey Myers will perform at 9 p.m. today at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Admission is $20.

The six-piece Texas band has been described by the Wall Street Journal as "Led Zeppelin set in Northeast Texas." The band, whose 2014 album, Early Morning Shakes, debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Country Chart, has toured as an opening act for Eric Church, Hank Williams Jr. and Jamey Johnson.

The band released its latest album, Mud, on Sept. 9. Mud was produced by Dave Cobb, known for his work with Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson.

Zoogma will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $10 in advance, $21 the day of the show (plus a $5 surcharge for minors).

The Josh Abbott Band will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $20.

And there will be an opening set by The Blarney Boys, a Boston-based band that features Geoffrey Robson of Bonnie Montgomery's band and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.
