Deputies find pinned-down man, 54, dead in Arkansas home

Carroll County sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a man they found unresponsive when they answered a domestic disturbance call at a rural county home early Friday.

A news release from the sheriff's office said Rodney Earl Dressi, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene of a disturbance that involved two men at 3 Carroll County Road 8141 about 12:10 a.m. Friday. The release did not name anyone else involved in the disturbance.

The state Crime Laboratory will determine the cause and manner of death, the release said.

One of the men was reported to be holding down the other, awaiting the arrival of deputies, according to the release. Two deputies arrived at 12:07 a.m., after receiving the call at 11:37 p.m. Thursday, and found one man holding down the other as reported.

Dressi, the man being held down, was unresponsive, police said. A deputy performed CPR on Dressi until emergency medical personnel arrived, according to the release.

All of the people who were at the residence at the time of the man's death lived there, the release said. They were interviewed by the sheriff's deputies. No arrests were made.
