NASHVILLE 54, MALVERN 21

NASHVILLE -- Darius Hopkins tore through the defense for 319 rushing yards and five touchdowns to lead Class 4A's No. 1 Nashville (9-0, 6-0 7-4A) past Malvern (4-5, 2-4).

Hopkins, who carried just 18 times, had touchdown runs of 22, 12, 1, 29 and 52 yards as Nashville opened a 54-7 lead by halftime.

Nashville's Tyler Hanson passed for 125 yards, completing 3-of-5 pass attempts, one to Dominick Knight for a 42-yard touchdown. Knight gained 90 yards on two receptions.

T.K. Hopkins had a 1-yard scoring run and Austin Gibbs returned an interception 12 yards for a touchdown for Nashville's other touchdowns.

Malvern's scores came on a 43-yard run by Jacquez Lock in the first quarter, an 85-yard run by Devin Shaw and an 8-yard run by Parker Freer.
