Menaced by man with box cutter, say 3 Little Rock Waffle House employees

Police said a man with a box cutter threatened employees at a Waffle House in Little Rock on Tuesday, according to a police report.

Officers were called Tuesday evening to the Waffle House at 201 N. Shackleford Road for a report of a disturbance with a weapon, police said.

According to the report, a man riding in a 2002 GMC Yukon showed up and approached three Waffle House employees. A 29-year-old woman was also in the car with the man, police said.

The man displayed a box cutter, said he would hurt the employees and "acted in a threatening manner" toward the employees, police said. He is described as a white man between the ages of 40 and 45 years old, police said.

The encounter occurred after a woman ate at the Waffle House and was going to leave without paying, an employee told police. She is described as white and between 25 and 30 years old, according to the report.

According to the report, the man showed up shortly after an employee told the woman the police would be called if she did not pay.
