The gate is easy to unlatch and open with the door swinging either way. The gates sell for $299 and additional art screens sell for $39. Extension kits can also be bought for wide doorways. What does it do: This sleek pedestal fan extends from 42 to 52 inches tall and has a 16-inch oscillating head made with five blades engineered for quietness. The owner can use the control pad on the fan or the remote control to switch among four fan speeds or use the turbo button for the highest speed. The fan sells for $150.
