Henderson State (2-0, 2-0 GAC) won its 500th game in school history with a victory over East Central (Okla.) in front of a crowd of 3,140 at Koi Ishto Stadium in Ada, Okla.
Andrew Black and Jaquan Cole each had two rushing touchdowns for the Reddies, who outgained the Tigers (0-2, 0-2) 256-40 on the ground. East Central had 294 yards passing to Henderson’s
67.
The Reddies opened a 27-0 lead at halftime behind two short touchdown runs by Black and another by Robert Thomas. Cole added his first score, a 6-yard run, with 9:57 left in the second quarter.
After the Tigers scored on a 15-yard touchdown pass from Brooks Holder to Seth Handley to begin the fourth quarter, Henderson State put the game away when Cole scored from 32 yards out with 6:33 remaining.

Southeastern Oklahoma State (1-1, 1-1 GAC) overcame a 10-0 first-quarter deficit with a 24-0 second quarter to down Ouachita Baptist (1-1, 1-1) in front of a crowd of 3,347 at Paul Laird Field in Durant, Okla.
After taking a 24-10 halftime lead, the Savage Storm scored on Devlon Wortham’s 20-yard touchdown run to start the third and give the hosts a 31-10 advantage.
The teams traded touchdowns before OBU scored touchdowns on back-toback possessions to trim the deficit to 38-31 to end the third quarter. Kris Oliver scored on a 4-yard run with 3:12 left. After the Tigers held the Savage Storm on a three-and-out, Brandon Marks scored from the 5 with 37 seconds left in the quarter.
SEOSU’s CB Cantwell found Kaymon Farmer on a 27-yard touchdown pass with 4:22 left in the game for a 45-31 advantage before OBU drove 99 yards in three plays with Austin Warford finding Drew Harris for a 64-yard touchdown pass with 47 seconds left to close the scoring.

Barrett Renner threw for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns in leading Southern Arkansas (2-0, 2-0 GAC) over Northwestern Oklahoma State (1-1, 1-1) in front of 5,973 at Wilkins Stadium in Magnolia. The Rangers led 7-3 at the end of the first quarter following a 17-yard touchdown pass from Reid Miller to Riley Hess.
Renner, who completed 12 of 27 passes, found Kaylen Burks on a 13-yard touchdown pass with 13:39 left in the second quarter. After a Ranger punt, Renner found Karonce Higgings for an 87-yard score on the Muleriders’ third play of the series and a 17-7 lead.
Two Bradford Grems field goals put SAU ahead 23-7 before Will Haines found Tanner Hudson on a 29-yard touchdown pass to begin the fourth quarter.
ARKANSAS-MONTICELLO 35 SOW OKLAHOMA STATE 28
Arkansas-Monticello (1-1, 1-1 Great American Conference) rebounded from an early 14-6 deficit with 21 unanswered points to defeat Southwestern Oklahoma State University (0-2, 0-2) in front of a crowd of 2,725 on Saturday night at Willis “Convoy” Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium in Monticello.
The teams had to endure multiple lightning delays to complete the contest. Down 14-6, UAM got a 14-yard touchdown pass from Cole Sears to Jalen Toliver and a subsequent two-point conversion to tie the score with 3:02 left in the second quarter.
Kevin Fitzpatrick gave the Boll Weevils the lead for good at 21-14 with a 34-punt return for a touchdown with 1:21 left before halftime. Sears then found Toliver for another touchdown, this time from 19 yards out with 5:01 left in the third for a 27-14 advantage.
After the Bulldogs scored on a long touchdown run to end the third, Sears ran for a 6-yard touchdown with 14:24 left in the fourth quarter to give the Boll Weevils a 33-21 lead.
OKLAHOMA BAPTIST 19,
ARKANSAS TECH 15
Oklahoma Baptist (1-1, 1-1 Great American Conference) jumped out to a 12-0 first-quarter lead, then held on late in defeating Arkansas Tech (1-1, 1-1) in front of 4,023 at Crain Family Stadium in Shawnee, Okla.
The Bison got a 30-yard Trey Tully field goal and a safety to go ahead 5-0. Isaiah Mallory’s 1-yard touchdown run capped a 5-play, 41-yard drive to give Oklahoma Baptist a 12-0 lead with 2:43 left in the opening quarter.
Tech struck back when Ty Reasnor found Henry Wesley on a 17-yard touchdown pass on the final play of the quarter to trim the deficit to 12-7.
Mallory’s 3-yard TD run with 12:31 left in the second quarter gave the Bison a 19-7 lead before Eric Perez kicked a 32-yard field goal for the Wonder Boys to close the first-half scoring.
Matthew Shade kicked a 48-yard field goal for the Wonder Boys with 1:42 left in the third quarter to make it 19-13.

SOUTHERN NAZARENE 7
Corey Bassett returned the second-half kickoff a school-record 100 yards for a touchdown, and Harding (2-0, 2-0 GAC) had little problems with Southern Nazarene (0-2, 0-2) in front of 1,831 at SNU Football Stadium in Bethany, Okla.
The Bisons scored on all four of their first-half possessions in opening a 28-0 lead before Bassett went the distance to begin the second half. After the Crimson Storm fumbled the ensuing kickoff, Harding quarterback Park Parish scored a 33-yard touchdown on the ensuing play to give the Bisons two touchdowns in the first 23 seconds of the second half and a 42-0 lead.
Daylon Markham scored on a 27-yard fumble return with 13:04 left in the quarter to give the Bisons a 49-0 advantage.
SNU’s lone score came on a Terence Olds 20-yard run with 11:05 left in the third before Harding’s Romar Reades added touchdown runs of 1 and 13 yards to set the final.
