THV has announced a new co-anchor for its morning show, filling a role left open earlier this summer when Alyse Eady departed for an anchor position in Atlanta.

The Little Rock CBS affiliate said in a statement that Rob Evans, a morning co-anchor for ABC7 in Fort Myers, Fla., will join THV11 This Morning on Sept. 19. He will appear alongside meteorologist Tom Brannon and co-anchor Laura Monteverdi.

THV News Director Dave Parker said in the statement that Evans brings the station "experience and energy with a passion for being active in the community."

Evans, who is originally from Missouri, previously worked there and in Oregon. In the statement, he said central Arkansas "already feels like home."

“Being able to raise my two kids in such a naturally beautiful place, with so much to explore and so close to home, is a dream,” he said.

Eady, the former Miss Arkansas who joined THV as an anchor in 2011, left the station at the end of July to become an anchor and reporter for Good Day Atlanta on that city's FOX 5.
