North Little Rock police Wednesday arrested a teenage boy in a shooting that injured one person.

Emmitt "EJ" Chestnut, 16, was charged as an adult with two counts of first-degree battery and two counts of aggravated robbery. Chestnut is accused of shooting Dontai Baker, 25, and attacking another man during a robbery attempt the afternoon of Sept. 4 at 6518 Pioneer Road, just south of Lynch Drive.

Baker was critically injured. He is being treated at Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock.

A police report states that Baker and a friend met Chestnut to buy guns and Chestnut tried to rob them.

Witnesses told investigators that Chestnut wasn't the only one involved in the robbery, according to the report. No additional arrests had been made Thursday.

Chestnut was being held in the Pulaski County jail.
