WYNNE -- A Cross County couple died Tuesday in what authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide, Cross County Sheriff J.R. Smith said.
A passer-by found the bodies of Bobby Wright, 32, and Crystal Avelino, 32, in the driveway of their home on U.S. 64 east of Wynne at about 9 a.m. Tuesday, Smith said.
Both had been shot with a handgun outside of the house, the sheriff said. He would not say what caliber the weapon was.
Wright apparently shot Avelino and then himself, Smith said.
Authorities sent both bodies to the state Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for autopsies, Smith said.
