Then, police responded about 8:40 p.m. to the 300 block of Parkdale, where they found 39-year-old LaTrina Brock in the front yard after she was shot in the throat, Dedrick said. Brock was transported to UAMS Medical Center for treatment, Dedrick said.

A hospital spokesman said Brock remained in critical condition Friday afternoon.

Police interviewed witnesses at both of the crime scenes, and it is not yet clear if the incidents were related, Dedrick said. The investigation is ongoing.
