Wedding vows were exchanged by Ellis Louis Widner and Scott Allen Hardy at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, in Sweet Spring Park in Eureka Springs. Former Eureka Springs Mayor Beau Zar Satori officiated.

Hardy is the son of the late Vera Mae and Donnie Hugh Hardy of Dardanelle. Widner is the son of the late Helen and Ellis Widner.

The couple exchanged silver rings inlaid with Tibetan turquoise during the outdoor ceremony at the park's grotto and spring, which is landscaped with trailing vines and garden flowers.

Widner wore a blue sport coat with a subtle diamond pattern, blue and black print shirt, black slacks and a bolo tie with a silver turtle slide. Hardy wore a light teal sport coat with a black shirt and slacks and a bolo tie with a silver thunderbird slide.

Close friends and family in attendance were Charlotte Besch, Jim Edmunds and Amy Widner, cousin of Ellis Widner, all of Little Rock; Cherrie Widner of Winslow and her daughter, Josey Holt of Fayetteville, also cousins of Ellis Widner; Zeek Taylor, Dick Titus, K.J. Zumwalt and Sarah S. Niazi, all of Eureka Springs.

A champagne reception was held at Satori Arts gallery immediately after the ceremony, followed by a dinner for the couple at K.J.'s Caribe. On Sunday, the couple's marriage was blessed by Lama Thinley Rapke of Fayetteville.

Hardy is a graduate of Searcy Beauty College. He is enrolled in the culinary arts program at Pulaski Technical College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute and is assistant manager of Cosmo Prof in Little Rock.

Widner is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He is the Sunday Style section editor at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

The couple will make their home in Little Rock.
