A Little Rock woman says a man tried to steal her cellphone and then assaulted her early Sunday morning, according to the Little Rock Police Department.
Keanna Fontenette, 23, told police she was walking on 26th Street near the 4000 block when a man approached her and attempted to take her cellphone, according to a police report.
When she refused to give the man a phone, Fontenette said, he kicked her in the stomach and fled, according to the police report. After officers arrived on the scene, Fontenette was transported to a hospital at her request, police said.
According to the report, Fontenette told police she does not know what the man looks like. No suspect was identified on the report.
