Bobby Rush headlines the 2016 Pine Bluff/Altheimer Fall-Fest, Saturday, Cook Family Park, Arkansas 79 between Pine Bluff and Altheimer. Gates open at noon. The lineup also includes Bishop Bullwinkle, Nellie Tiger Travis, Ms. Jody, Jaye Hammer, Willie P. Platinum Blues Band of Pine Bluff, and Diedra, billed as "the Alabama Blues Queen." High saxophones

University of Arkansas at Little Rock faculty members Andy Wen, alto, soprano and sopranino saxophones, and Naoki Hakutani, piano, will give the world premiere of High Desert Apparitions by Sy Brandon in a faculty recital, 3 p.m. Sunday in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall, Fine Arts Building, UALR, 2801 S. University Ave., Little Rock. The program will also include Wen's arrangement of the Sonata for sopranino saxophone in G major by Giovanni Platti, Concerto by Ingolf Dahl, Bicinia for Flute and Saxophone by Anthony Iannaccone (with flutist Susan Antonneti) and Rock Me! by Barry Cockloft.
