Gentry police work a truck rollover accident Thursday at the curve on Arkansas 12 at Pioneer Lane in the early morning. The overturned Simmons Foods truck was hauling packaged product, and work crews had to stand by during school rush hour at the intersection before resuming unloading so the truck and trailer could be righted and towed away.

The crash occurred about 1 a.m. when a truck leased to Simmons Foods and driven by Curtis Garcia, 43, of Colcord, Okla., went off the road and overturned on the sharp curve, according to police.

The Ryder truck was hauling packaged products from Simmons. Work crews had to stand by during school rush hour at the intersection before resuming unloading so the truck and trailer could be righted and towed away. Portions of Arkansas 12 and Pioneer Lane were closed during the cleanup operation.

The truck was traveling east on Arkansas 12. No injuries were reported. Garcia was cited by police for careless and prohibited driving.

The accident occurred at the same location of another truck rollover Aug. 25.
