CENTRAL ARKANSAS 11, OKLAHOMA STATE 5

Hunter Strong went 3 for 5 with a double and 4 RBI to lead the University of Central Arkansas (18-16) over Oklahoma State (19-13) on Tuesday at Stillwater, Okla.

The Bears, who won for the fifth time in six games, trailed 3-0 after the third inning but went on to score five runs in the fourth inning and five more in the fifth. All five runs in the fourth inning came with two outs on an RBI single by Jansen McCurdy and two-run singles by Strong and Keaton Presley. Justin McCarty scored on a wild pitch in the fifth, Presley had a three-run double down the left-field line and Strong added an RBI double down the right-field line. Strong’s third hit, an RBI single in the seventh inning, scored McCurdy.

Reliever Brandon Hageria (5-3) got the victory for UCA after allowing an unearned run on 4 hits with 1 walk and 1 strikeout over 5 innings.

UALR 10, STEPHEN F. AUSTIN 4

Riley Pittman went 3 for 5 with 1 RBI and Christian Reyes went 2 for 3 with 1 double and 1 RBI as the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (13-20) scored 4 runs in the fourth inning and 6 runs in the seventh inning Tuesday to beat Stephen F. Austin (20-15) at Gary Hogan Field in Little Rock.

The Trojans claimed the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth, getting an RBI double from Chrisitan Knight, an RBI double from Ty Gunter, a bases-loaded walk to Zach Baker and an RBI groundout from Hunter Owens to take a 4-2 lead. Pittman, Gunter, Reyes and Danny Mitchell all had one-out RBI singles and Mitchell scored on Owens’ RBI double to give the Trojans a 10-3 lead in the seventh.

Carter Brown (2-1) got the victory after allowing 3 runs, none earned, on 4 hits with 1 walk and 1 strikeout over 51/3 innings.

ARKANSAS STATE 11, MEMPHIS 4

Arkansas State University (19-14) scored six runs in the first three innings and never trailed in a victory at FedEx Park in Memphis.

The Red Wolves jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, thanks to a tworun home run by Joe Schrimpf and a sacrifice fly by Alex Howard. The lead grew to 4-0 in the second inning on Garrett Rucker’s RBI single, then moved to 6-0 in the third on a two-run single from Grant Hawkins.

ASU got a home run from Justin Felix and an RBI double by Derek Birginske to make it 8-4. Felix added a two-run single in the seventh inning to give the Red Wolves a 10-4 lead, and Schrimpf’s second home run of the game made it 11-4.

Brandon Stuckenschneider (1-0) got the victory after allowing 2 earned runs on 4 hits with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

MISSOURI 13, UAPB 1

Kameron Misner went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI, Connor Brumfield was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and Missouri (24-9) held the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (9-22) to two hits in Tuesday’s victory at Columbia, Mo.

Misner’s three-run triple with one out in the fifth inning was part of a five-run inning that gave the Tigers a 9-0 lead. UAPB’s lone run came in the sixth inning when Aderly Perez scored on Joshua Williams’ RBI single to left-center field, cutting the lead to 9-1.

Chris Phelps (0-2) took the loss after allowing 3 runs, all earned, on 6 hits with 1 walk and 1 strikeout in 1 2/3 innings.
