City attorney office adds new assistant

City Attorney Jason Carter has added another assistant to his office.

Amy Fields had been an assistant city attorney for Little Rock for almost 11 years before resigning last month to move to her new job. Before the Little Rock position, Fields had worked in the North Little Rock office for about a year.

Fields, who lives in the city, began her new position last week at an annual salary of $96,000.

3 concrete benches added to dog park

Three new benches have been added to the city's dog park area in Burns Park, courtesy of a community project by the North Pulaski board of Realtors.

The benches are on concrete slabs, replacing smaller, wooden benches that had become worn. Within the concrete are the words "Proudly Supporting Our Communities" and the Realtors' logo.

The three benches cost $1,200, according to city Parks and Recreation Department staff members. The dog park is divided into three sections for small, medium and large dogs. One new bench is in each section.
