The 2017 event, sponsored by Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life Foundation of Rogers, will feature a Toddler Trot, 5K and youth run. The foundation’s mission is to promote proper hydration to prevent heat-related illness through education and supporting activities.

6 9 a.m. -- The 25th annual "Dogwood Walk" to benefit the Humane Society of the Ozarks will be at Gulley Park in Fayetteville. The dog-friendly event will include dog contests and challenges, photos with your dog, face painting and balloon animals and awards for exceptional dogs and their people. Tickets are $20 for society members, $25 for nonmembers and free for children younger than 5. Companion passes for families or friends are available for an additional $5 with a paid registration, although doesn't include a T-shirt. Microchipping for dogs will be available for an additional $20 and includes implanting of the microchip by a veterinarian and the microchip registration fee. Sponsorships are available. Junior League of Northwest Arkansas

6 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- The annual "Touch A Truck" fundraiser for the Junior League of Northwest Arkansas will be at Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers. Children will be able to explore emergency vehicles, construction trucks, motorcycles, tractor-trailers and boats. There will be costumed characters, mascots, building projects, fingernail painters and food trucks. Tickets are $5 each or $20 per family, with a maximum of five people per family.
