Native plant guided hike rescheduled

A forecast of more rain has prompted the cancellation of two outdoor events Saturday: Ozark Stream Fest in Cave Springs and a hike in Bella Vista.

The native plant guided hike on the Back 40 Trails was rescheduled for 10 a.m. May 4, according to a news release from Cassi Lapp, Bella Vista communications director.

"While we realize it's difficult for the public to attend on a weekday, we have to work with our botanist's schedule and the small window of time available for viewing the blooming wildflowers," Lapp said.

The Illinois River Watershed Partnership canceled its first Ozark Stream Fest, set for its sanctuary in Cave Springs, the group said in a news release. The partnership hopes to reschedule the event, the release said.
