Drillers top Travs

The Arkansas Travelers lost three of four to the Tulsa Drillers, falling 6-3 on Thursday night at ONEOK Field in Tulsa.

Matt Beaty hit a three-run home run for the Drillers. Four players had two hits for Tulsa, including Tyler Holt, Kyle Garlick, Jose Miguel Fernandez and Stetson Allie.

Arkansas right-hander Lindsey Caughel (1-2) allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 5 innings, striking out 5 and walking 1.

The Travs led 3-0 in the top of the first inning. Chuck Taylor recorded an RBI single and Ryan Casteel hit a two-run home run.

Tulsa cut the led to 3-1 in the bottom of the first and took a 4-3 lead in the second inning on Beaty's three-run home run, his first of the season.

The Drillers added two runs in the eighth inning for a 6-3 lead. Garlick hit a two-run home run off Travs reliever Blake Perry. It was his fifth of the season.

Casteel went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI to lead the Travs offensively.

Ivan Vieitez (1-1) earned the victory for Tulsa, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits in 5 innings. He struck out three and walked three.

Seattle Mariners reliever Steve Cishek made his fourth rehabilitation appearance with the Travs. Cishek, who is recovering from microfracture surgery last October to help repair a torn labrum in his left hip, allowed 1 hit in 2/3 of an inning. He struck out one batter in the seventh inning.
