SPRINGDALE -- Har-Ber High School teachers will instruct students via email today because of an ongoing electrical issue, according to School District spokesman Rick Schaeffer. Students should look for teacher correspondence on their Har-Ber email accounts.
The power outage started about 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Schaeffer said. Students were evacuated because the building was dark and ate lunch in the football stadium, he said.
School was dismissed about 1 p.m. Electrical and fire crews found a small fire in an electrical box they quickly put out. Schaeffer said the fire was caused by a short in the wiring.
