My newest gadget fascination is with The Butter Once, a spreader engineered with a curved blade to hold the butter firmly against a cob of corn or any other slightly rounded food that needs slathered.
The Butter Once was created by J&A Designs because, they say, "it didn't make sense that there wasn't a knife that could butter corn on the cob as easily as buttering a slice of bread."
The gadget has a unique curved stainless-steel blade that conforms to the rounded corncob and a beveled edge for slicing butter or for digging margarine out of a tub. It's dishwasher safe.
And it really works. The Butter Once holds the spread firmly against the cob without drips or blobs of butter winding up on the counter, table or your shirt.
