Angry Inch

Hedwig and the Angry Inch (music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, book by John Cameron Mitchell) will be onstage at 7:30 p.m. today-Saturday and Aug. 17-19, 2:30 p.m. Sunday and Aug. 20 at the Studio Theatre, 320 W. Seventh St., Little Rock. Anthony James Gerard plays Hedwig Robinson, a young East Berliner whom an American GI promises to take to the States -- on the condition that he switch his sex. Brittany Sparkles, John Willis, Luke Johnson, Logan J. Smith and Svyatoslav "Slavek" Bolubah round out the cast. Textile 'Intersections'

"Intersections," an exhibition of textile works by Marianne Fairbanks and Leigh Jacobs, opens with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Matt McLeod Fine Art Gallery, 108 W. Sixth St., Little Rock. Refreshments will be served. The exhibition closes Sept. 15. Admission to the reception and the gallery are free. Planetary band

Anime classic

The Breckenridge 12 in Little Rock will screen the animated Japanese film Mune: Guardian of the Moon in a new English-language version featuring the voices of Rob Lowe, Christian Slater, Patton Oswalt, Ed Helms and Jeff Dunham, 12:55 p.m. Saturday, part of the "Gkids" series of films from animator/director Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Summer Fling

Artinfusion, a young patrons program at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 600 Museum Way, Bentonville, will hold its Summer Fling, 9 p.m.-midnight Saturday on the museum's North Lawn (alongside Buckminster Fuller's Fly's Eye Dome). The event will feature food, drink and music (by artists including Bentonville Radio, DJ Todd of North America and "special guest" Tank and the Bangas) plus art-making, artist demonstrations and a toast to the dome. Stardust Sunday

Singers auditions

The Arkansas Chamber Singers will hold auditions for its forthcoming season, "Sing Me the Universal," by appointment, at 6 p.m. Tuesday at St. James United Methodist Church, 321 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock. Prepare one solo; the 10-minute audition sessions will also include vocalization, evaluation of pitch memory and sight-reading. Make an appointment by emailing info@ar-chambersingers.org.

Singers must be able to commit to the rehearsal schedule -- 7:15-9:45 p.m. Tuesdays at St. James, end of August through March. The 2017-2018 season includes three concerts -- "Come Said the Muse," Oct. 13 at Little Rock's Christ Episcopal Church and Oct. 15 at Little Rock's Calvary Baptist Church; "Universal Peace in Song," Dec. 15-17 at Little Rock's Old State House and Dec. 19 at North Little Rock's St. Luke's Episcopal Church; and "Song Without Borders," March 16 at St. James.
