Angry Inch
Hedwig and the Angry Inch (music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, book by John Cameron Mitchell) will be onstage at 7:30 p.m. today-Saturday and Aug. 17-19, 2:30 p.m. Sunday and Aug. 20 at the Studio Theatre, 320 W. Textile 'Intersections'
"Intersections," an exhibition of textile works by Marianne Fairbanks and Leigh Jacobs, opens with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Matt McLeod Fine Art Gallery, 108 W. Anime classic
The Breckenridge 12 in Little Rock will screen the animated Japanese film Mune: Guardian of the Moon in a new English-language version featuring the voices of Rob Lowe, Christian Slater, Patton Oswalt, Ed Helms and Jeff Dunham, 12:55 p.m. Saturday, part of the "Gkids" series of films from animator/director Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Summer Fling
Artinfusion, a young patrons program at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 600 Museum Way, Bentonville, will hold its Summer Fling, 9 p.m.-midnight Saturday on the museum's North Lawn (alongside Buckminster Fuller's Fly's Eye Dome). The event will feature food, drink and music (by artists including Bentonville Radio, DJ Todd of North America and "special guest" Tank and the Bangas) plus art-making, artist demonstrations and a toast to the dome. Singers auditions
The Arkansas Chamber Singers will hold auditions for its forthcoming season, "Sing Me the Universal," by appointment, at 6 p.m. Tuesday at St. James United Methodist Church, 321 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock.
