Jordan Christine Hughes and Lucas David Platt were united in marriage 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Cold Springs Events, Paron. Officiating was Dave Hastings of Faith Journey Fellowship, Bentonville.

The bride is the daughter of Karen Jean and Joe Kevin Hughes of Little Rock. She is the granddaughter of Flora and Dr. Wilbur M. Giles, Laveda and Joe E. Hughes and the late Jacquelyn Jean Giles, all of Little Rock.

Parents of the bridegroom are Cari Lyn and Dr. Lucas Oliver Platt Jr. of Columbia, S.C. His grandparents are Linda Chisman of Russellville; Michael Chisman of Benton, La.; and Nancy Platt and Dr. Lucas Oliver Platt, both of Tupelo, Miss.

Vows for the outdoor ceremony were exchanged under an arbor covered with white and lavender roses, lilies and hydrangeas. Music was by guitarist and vocalist Seth Cagle.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory tulle and Alencon lace gown embellished with lace appliques and clear sequins. The fitted bodice had a scalloped sweetheart neckline. The full skirt with a scalloped hem extended from the natural waist to a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of garden roses, wisteria, peonies and lilies with eucalyptus and moss.

Maid of honor was Jennifer Ryan of Nashville, Tenn. Bridesmaids were Danielle Summers of Chicago; Brooke Smolenski of Fayetteville; Taylor Breckinridge, Alex Luger and Maddie Cardell of Kansas City, Kan.; Danica Ridgeway of Jefferson City, Mo.; and Lanie Platt of Columbia, sister of the bride. They wore sleeveless wisteria purple gowns and carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet.

Serving as the bridegroom's honor attendants were his brothers, Ladd Platt and Logan Platt, both of Columbia. Groomsmen were Patrick Grace and Scott Bielinski, both of Fayetteville; Paxton Droke of Dallas; Seth Box of Huntsville; Ryan Alexander of Siloam Springs; and Nathan Pennington of Russellville. Guests were seated by Bobby James, Kyle Smith and Brandon Hughes, brother of the bride, all of Fayetteville; and Jacob Davies of Springfield, Mo.

A reception, also at Cold Springs Events, was held after the ceremony. Guest tables, covered with champagne and silver linens, were centered with a mix of rose bowls and cylinder vases filled with white and lavender wedding flowers.

Assisting were Taylor Evans of Little Rock, cousin of the bride, Sophie Mahaffey and Allie Hughes, both of Fayetteville, and Claire Bodemann of Hot Springs.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She was named a Senior Scholar. She is in the second year of a master's degree program in social work at the university.

The bridegroom has a bachelor's degree in economics and business from UA and is an intermodal pricing manager at J.B. Hunt Transport Services.

The couple will live Fayetteville after a honeymoon in Mexico.
