Sharon Landon

Where I live: Hurricane Lake Estates between Bryant and Benton

Occupation: I am a multi-passionate designer and artist (brand stylist and graphic designer, illustrator, writer, photographer, mixed-media artist and jewelry designer) for my home-based business, Landon Creative

My favorite space is: My studio

Why? It is where I feel called to be. I spend more time here than any other room in my house. I am inspired by the whimsical black-and-blue checkerboard floor and fog-gray walls, and shelves full of art and design books. This space lets me move freely between projects as I attend to my clients' needs and my own artistic desires. I feel fortunate to have the inspirations of a beautiful lake and abundant wildlife just beyond my windows. Most everything I need is here, with stations dedicated to my computer designs and printing, mixed-media works and jewelry fabrication. I've even made space under my desk for my studio-mate and guard poodle, Sebastian.

If I could make one change, I would: Make it twice the size. I like a cozy feel to a room, but I have filled this space to the brim. I would add lots of plants, an overstuffed couch in front of the windows, and in the middle of the room I would place a large work island with flat file storage underneath.
