New class's 43 students from overseas, 13 states

Forty-three new students will begin classes Monday at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.

The school said six countries and 13 states are represented in the Class of 2019. The student body includes veterans of the Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard, and volunteers from the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and Teach for America.

Since 2004, when the school opened, students from more than 40 countries and more than 200 universities have studied at the Clinton School.

In addition to classroom work to complete core courses in professionalism, social change and conflict resolution, the new Clinton School students will begin team-based public-service projects with partner organizations in communities across Arkansas.
