UALR names 25 students Donaghey Scholars for year

Here is a list of University of Arkansas at Little Rock students who have been named Donaghey Scholars for the new academic year.

Donaghey Scholars receive a financial package that includes full tuition and fees (up to 18 hours per semester), a stipend, financial assistance to study abroad, a housing subsidy and a new laptop.

The most promising applicants participate in an interview process. Admission decisions are based on academic record, test scores, leadership ability, community service, interest in other cultures, recommendation letters, essays the student has submitted and the interview.

The program uses an interdisciplinary curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking through the reading of primary texts, writing and discussion.
