Portion of Springdale's West Emma Avenue to close

SPRINGDALE -- West Emma Avenue from Blair Street to Shiloh Street will be closed from Thursday to Oct. 31 so crews can improve the street and service lines, according to a news release.

The Springdale Water Utilities project will include running new service lines to businesses in the area, lining the main sewer line and improving the streetscape. The streetscape work will include drainage improvement, moving utilities underground and improving walkability and parking. The city will reimburse Springdale Water Utilities for the cost of the streetscape improvement, according to the release.

The Blair Street and Shiloh Street intersections will remain open for the majority of the closing; however, the intersections may be closed for short periods for paving.
