Two of Northwest Technical Institute's recent Diesel & Truck Technology graduates, Brianna Luckman and Miguel Camacho, recently competed at the Walmart Nationals at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., and came away as this year's winner of the Walmart National Student Competition. They navigated through nine mechanical hands-on challenges testing knowledge and skills. The former students completed a 200 hour Walmart Intern program and are now full-time Walmart Techs.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Kiara Bjornstad of Fayetteville is a 2017 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, receiving a bachelor of science in applied science during the summer commencement ceremony Aug. 12.

Carole Lynel Holmes of Siloam Springs is a 2017 graduate of Dallas Baptist University, receiving a master of arts degree in teaching.

Rocky Vista University

Colby McWhorter of Siloam Springs has been accepted as a student doctor at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine-Southern Utah in Ivins, Utah. McWhorter is a graduate of Brigham Young University, with bachelor's degrees in neuroscience and Spanish studies, and a 2010 graduate of Siloam Springs High School.
